Our History

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and our company. My name is Grover Hathorn of Hathorn Construction. I have been building quality homes in the South Fork and Upper Rio Grande areas for the past 24 years. South Fork is our home and the community in which we live and serve. My wife's family has lived and worked in this area for six generations. Hathorn Construction has established a reputation for excellence through hard work, a commitment to the highest standards in home building and perserverance to provide the up most in service to our customers. I have been one of the instrumental people in the formation of the Upper Rio Grande Home Builders Association to further "Raising the Standard" of building ethics and quality in this area. I currently am serving a term as President.

Our company has expertise in building with full scribe logs, D-style logs, or log kits homes. Many of our homes are conventional frame with varying exteriors such as native stone, stucco, log siding, and natural wood. We have a number of homes that would be available for you to see. Just looking at our gallery will convince you that we can say "Building Distinction Down to the Details" of those special touches that only the eye of true craftsmen would see and others wouldn't take the time to do. We work with several local architects on home project planning as well as some located out of state. You will have experts available to help you with each step on your new home.

Hathorn Construction employees are trained, highly skilled and competent in the construction trade. Our subcontactors are those who have a proven track record in meeting the high standards we expect for our homes. Our company and our sub contractors are constantly upgrading knowledge and skills as well as researching new services and products the will be made available to our customers. We carry all the required liability insurance, builders risk insurance, and workman's compensation insurance. Certificates of Insurance will be available upon request.

My wife Mari and I have been married for 30 years and have 5 children, Brian and Corey who reside in Texas, Aspen, Tyler and Regan. We also have three grandchildren Jordon, Cameron and Kelsie. We are looking forward to meeting you and serving you as our customer.
